Morning routine

Oh, the mornings are ever so interesting with Carson... He lives the rough life laying in bed with his bottle while I turn on Mickey Mouse or whoever is on Disney when he gets up.

I try to feed him a little something before going to Linda's since he seems to be hungry and needing/wanting a snack. (He gets a real breakfast at her house.) However, his snack has been pretzels lately, since he sees them going into my lunch bag and thinks that's what he needs, rather than cereal or toast. Hmm... The best is that he has gotten an Oreo a couple of times, too. Oops! I figure it can't hurt him and I'd rather not fight about it. Now Carson has learned how to stand up in his highchair and is even trying to throw a leg over to get out. I don't think so, kid!

Carson will eat things better if you put them in a cup that he can carry around and/or dump out somewhere. Beware of Potter! He yells at Potter if Potter comes too close and/or if Potter eats the food Carson dumped on the ground. I know a fight is coming when I hear a yell followed by "MINE!"

These photos of climbing on the laundry basket are a new thing as of this morning. He decided to climb up and bang on the hamper. I'm not sure if he was trying to get on the hamper or not, but it wouldn't surprise me anymore. Oh, gracious. He's definitely all boy!! No wonder we keep getting so many bumps and bruises!

  1. Boys are definitely in a world of their own. Their little brains are wired so differently than girls. As you continue to put things out of reach, they work at how they can climb up to get them. OMG! Most of the time, you can just give the booboo a swipe, get less tears, and they are on their way again.

  2. Jackson will be there before I know it! I can't believe how big Carson is getting - we definitely need to find some time to get the boys together! You wouldn't believe some of the things my little Jackson is starting to do as well! Love you! :)

  4. Life is constantly changing and a new adventure is always starting. It is going WAY TOO FAST!! I'm sure Jackson is growing quickly, too, Kristen. The boys would have a blast together... and so would their mommys! It is true that most bumps are forgotten as soon as they happen, so we know it's major owie if Carson stops playing long enough to cry and be held.

  5. He's growing so fast! Carson looks much older in his morning photo and those eyelashes...unbelievable. Thanks for all of the sneak previews of what we will be going through this winter. Boys!
