So, Mommy has taught Carson some new tricks. :) They are so darn cute I can't stand it!!
First: he was playing with the lotion on Wed night. So, I opened it and put a little in his hands. He wasn't sure what to do with it. I put a little in my hand and rubbed my hands together to show him what to do. I put a little back in his hand and rubbed his hands together. Then Carson tapped the lotion on his hand (nothing came out - he hasn't figured out to squeeze the bottle to make it come out, thank goodness), put the bottle down, and rubbed his hands together. It was so precious!! Now he does it all the time and wants to put lotion on your hands too.
Second: Animal sounds. He said "moe" this morning for "moo" -- close enough for me. (Background info-- I don't really read his books anymore. I point to an animal, name it, and make the appropriate noise. Yes, I look like a total a**, but he finds it entertaining.) Well, I raise my arm like a trunk while trumpeting like an elephant. He raised his arm with me last night when we were on the elephant page. Next time, he made a noise while he did it. Yeah!! Of course he wouldn't do it when I called Cj to watch. But, Cj called this afternoon to let me know that Carson showed him how to be an elephant. Adorable.

You have to look a little silly every once in a while, I think that it is in the job description for mommy!
ReplyDeleteYou are right....we don't want Carson to know about squeezing anything to get something out. OMG, that can wait. It is definitely in the Mommy job to look and act silly occasionally. Kids might not respond as cutely, if we weren't. And we know they are precious.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh - what a cute smart little boy - you are teaching him very important things:) You are such a great mom - and I'm just not sure I would have tried to "get taller" with the bah - ha ha:) nicely done

I love the lotion story!
ReplyDeleteSilly is definitely my middle name! Carson plays his music box on the way to Linda's and I try to make up songs to the beat. Some mornings are better than others. In fact, some days he changes the song so I'll quite singing. What's he saying about my singing?
ReplyDeleteHmmm....I don't know, but don't quit trying! It may be one of those funky things he will remember later!
ReplyDeleteYour kids teach you to be fun and silly again and as he gets a little older you will start doing a lot more silly things! That is what makes you a great mom.
